The evening of September 14 was a very special
time for all the members in VVA 828. Several months before our Treasurer, Tim Moore was working on requesting a grant from
the state of South Carolina to help us continue our work on the Barnwell Co. Veteran's Park. The presentation of the grant
marks the beginning of more work and improvements for the park. A lot has been accomplished at the park by several members,
but much more remains to be done.
The park is located at the Barwell Airport on Hwy. 78.
We appreciate all the work on behalf of Tim Moore, in writing
the request and to State Rep. Lonnie Hosey and State Senator Brad Hutto
for pushing it through Congress for us.
